About the Foundation

A legacy of giving rooted in West Texas

D. J. Sibley and his wife, Effie Potts, were long-time and prominent members of the Trans-Pecos and Big Bend portions of West Texas. After the death of D.J. Sibley, Mrs. Sibley established the Foundation on November 24, 1967 to share what the land had provided them.
